Diesel Mechanic

Hager Brothers Trucking Inc is accepting resumes for the position of Diesel Mechanic in Goodwell, Oklahoma. High School certificate and 24 months of experience as a Diesel Mechanic are required. Duties: Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other important parts to ensure that they are in proper operating condition. Supervision of Shop Mechanics to ensure safe work environment Replacing/adjusting brakes, adjusting wheel alignments, tighten bolts and screws, and reassemble equipment. Examine and adjust protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices. Schedule and perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and machinery. Test drive semi-trucks to diagnose malfunctions and/or to ensure that they are working properly. Raise trucks and heavy parts or equipment using hydraulic jacks and hoists. Attach test instruments, computers, to equipment and read dials and gauges to diagnose malfunctions. Overhaul / Rebuild diesel engines. Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment to diagnose problems, using test instruments such as handheld computers, chassis charts, and pressure gauges. Recondition and replace parts, pistons, bearings, gears, and valves. Diagnosing / repairing electrical issues within the ignition system/fuse panels. Install and repair Hydraulic pumps, systems on semi- trucks. Supervision of Shop Machinic while performing daily job duties. Such as replace and/or repair of brake system, fuel systems, rear ends, transmissions, engine overhauls, replace tires, electrical issues, driveline. Training other mechanics on proper ways to conduct services. Diagnose and repair vehicle heating and cooling systems. Repair and adjust seats and doors. Adjust and repair computer controlled exhaust emissions devices. Maintain Scheduled Inspections required by the DOT and/or Hager Brothers Trucking Inc Install ELD systems required by the DOT and/or Hager Brothers Trucking Inc.
